The film was produced between 2018 and 2021 in Seattle and San Francisco.
Film Credits and Acknowledgements
Phase 1 Planning:
Secured funding, developed script, identified filmmaker, established school sites, and provided anti-bias coaching with teachers in preparation for filming.
Phase 2 Filming:
Planned for six days of filming and completed four due to the pandemic in 2020. In person filming was completed at two sites in Seattle. Remote zoom filming was completed in San Francisco. Filming at each site involved classroom footage and teacher interviews.
Phase 3 Editing and Review:
Created vignettes, edited and assembled the film. Added music, titles, and captioning. Received feedback from advisors and reviewers. Created facilitator and viewer guide book.
